P11D Enterprise Software Update v14.2

This update applies only to users currently using the P11D Enterprise v14.0 or v14.1 (2007/2008)

Providing you have internet connectivity and if applicable you have configured your proxy settings, you should be able to select Tools, Software Updates and then click on the Check for Updates button and the system will download and install the updated software. This update does not affect your existing data.

v14.2 update includes the following main enhancements and fixes:

HMRC Approval

P11D/P11D(b) and P46Car substitute forms have been approved.
P11D/P11D(b) and P46Car Internet Filing Recognition.

Roll forward / Upgrade

Benefit selector added to roll forward facility.

Non-admin users were not seeing all the employees when doing an employee search.
New facility to sort the employee list returned by an employee search by NI number, Surname or Payroll number.

Online Filing

Fix to correct HMRC validation error when validating the schema before submitting a file.

Average official rate of interest for loans

The average official rate of interest for 2007–08 for loans made in sterling was changed from 5% to 6.25%.

The update also includes all fixes and enhancements from v14.0 and v14.1

Previous Updates

v14.1 update included the following main enhancements and fixes:

SQL

Support for SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition for single user licenses.

Company

Tax district number is auto formatted.
Fix for negative NIC adjustment values for the P11D(b)

Employee

Better NI number validation.

Benefits

When adding a second company car benefit, the system checks if the first car has an end date, and prompts the user when saving if it is a replacement car.
You can now set the Standard Benefit Value from/to dates to be outside the current tax year.
When saving a benefit in the Standard Benefit screen, this will unlock all employee benefits of that type.
When globally removing benefits, the system will warn you if any of the benefits have already been locked.
Ability to optionally create an employee benefit from the batch payment facility if the benefit does not exist.

Online Filing

Option to select individual employees to include when submitting P46Car online.

Reports

Box C in P11D(b) report is now not displayed if Class 1A is ticked.
Page grouping in the Validation report.
Fixed validation report errors on private medical benefit types.

Import

Additional format to import from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) P11d Producer.

Roll forward / Upgrade

Ability to include 'Disposed Vehicles' from previous year during roll forward or upgrade process if required.
Option to include employees with leaving dates in a roll forward.

Vehicle register

If you delete a vehicle that has been allocated to an employee it will allow you to remove the vehicle from the register but leave it assigned as a benefit.

Other

Benefit selector when exporting employee benefits.
Proxy address and port settings are auto-detected from Internet Explorer.
Backup and restore operations have been added to the Audit report.
Auto save fixed on employee screen.
Recent Items list fixed.
Default system setting for 'Vehicle Register Required' is set to false.

New facility to allow batch entry of benefit payments.

Vehicle Register

Allow multiple vehicle deletions.

Reports

Mileage reports now include full employee details.
Car fleet and Vehicle diary reports now include disposed of option.

Upgrading

Disposed cars included in Company Car benefits from previous years will be ignored.
